WEEKEND PREVIEW: All Ireland Excitement For The Boys In Blue

(06 Oct 2017)

By Jamie Moore

Six of our teams will be looking to make it to the next round of the SFAI All Ireland Cups this weekend.

Both of our U11s, our U12s, U13s, U14s and U15s are all in action but they’ll be playing one year above their age due to the change in the calendar season.

So our U12s are actually playing in the U13 competition and so on.

The Clontarf Astro Complex will host games in the U13 and U16 competition.

Leicester Celtic are the visitors for the U16 game at 10.30am, while at 12 in the U13 age group St Joseph’s Boys are the opposition.

Arklow Town host Belvo in the U14 competition in Arklow at 11.30am while at the same time it’s Leixlip United vs Belvo in the U15s.

Our U11A1 Sunday lads face Ballyoulster on Saturday in the U12 competition while our U11A Saturday boys face Home Farm on Sunday both at 10.30am.

The Belvo Academy will take place as usual for kids aged 4-7 in the Clontarf Astro Complex from 9.30am.

Newcomers are always welcome and Ciaran Duffy has more information on 087 236 83 84.

Our Academy teams from U8 to U10 all have games on Saturday against Crumlin United, St Kevin’s Boys, St John Vianny.

One of the biggest rivalries in Irish schoolboy football is a familiar theme on Sunday as three of our teams face St Kevin’s Boys.

Our U8s, U9s and U10A1 boys face Kevin’s at home in Clontarf with the action beginning 10am.

While our U10A team face St Joseph’s Boys at 11am.
